The devil is in the details,
but does he ever come out?
Angels have eyes and wings,
but don't they have other things?
Mothertongue and father figure,
but what about me?
Walking on air or on sunshine,
but what if walking hurts?
Biting in the dust or throwing in the towel,
until the body, down it shuts.
Pulling someone's leg or spilling the beans,
whoever gets hurt is the unseen.
Every saint a past, every sinner a future,
but where are you on the scale ?
Are you the coffin or the nail?
