There's this song, by the "dandelion hands"
How to never stop being sad.
For years it was the anthem to my darkness, the rules by which I lived my life.
Not anymore, so I decided to rewrite it.
Repeat to yourself that you're not really gone.
Time has proven that you have survived.
The sun will rise, tomorrow is coming.
All you have to do, is wake up.
Keep listening to the stories around you.
You are not as alone broken or sickenly different from everyone else.
Deviance is the new normal.
Vulnerability is your superpower.
Hide out, take rest.
It's okay to not have the energy today.
You don't need to be the best for everybody, cause you're already amazing,
to me.
Go out for coffee,
always bring your notebook
never stop writing.
Look at the people around you.
Listen to Kae Tempest.
There's peace to be found in people's faces.
Allow yourself to feel the things you feel.
Cry.
Happiness and sadness do go hand in hand,
I should now; I just watched Inside Out.
Find comfort in the little things;
A baby's laugh
A dog's wiggling tail
The flikker in their eyes.
There's beauty in the details.
But most importantly: drink that bottled love.
It'll get you through the day, but know
that it won't get you through life.
Just because you're struggling doesn't mean that you're failing.
You are not as alone as you think you are,
you are not a sad story,
time proves that you are alive.
